Derianur or the "sea of light" is the world's largest diamond weighing 182 carats (37g), a dull pink color. Obtained in the Golconda mine, in the central part of India. From this region there is also the Kohinur diamond, encrusted into the crown of the Queen of Great Britain. Was in the use of the Great Moguls before the invasion of Nadir Shah in 1739, then was taken to Persia with other famous diamonds. After the death of Nadir Shah, the diamond came into the ownership of his grandson Muin al-Hakk wa-d-Din Shahruh, and then to Lotf Ali Shah from the Zenda dynasty. After the overthrow of their dynasty, Aga Mohammed Shah Kajar, the founder of the Qajar dynasty, the "Sea of Light" remained in the hands of the Qajars. Stone served as an ornament during the coronation of rulers. Currently, Derianur is kept in the Treasury of National Treasures of the Central Bank of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Tehran, along with many other jewels.
